What to have ready
- The year, make and model, and the VIN if you can find it: on the dash at the base of the windshield, and on the driver’s door frame.
- Which glass is damaged, and a photo of it, with a coin beside a chip for scale.
- Where the car will be for the visit, and whether it is in a deck, a gated lot or a garage.
- Your insurer’s name and the policy or claim number, if you are claiming.
